Job Description JOB TITLE: HEAD COOK RESPONSIBLE TO: HEAD CHEF, RESTAURANT MANAGER DEPARTMENT: OPERATIONS JOB SUMMARY: Ensures the kitchen is operating efficiently and professionally and always achieves the highest standard of food quality and presentation. Helps devise new methods and new menu items. Responsible for stream lining work from back of house to front of house. Staff Management Supervision, Development and Training of all Kitchen Staff. Efficient and Impartial rostering of Kitchen staff in consultation with Chief Executive Officer, Chef and Kitchen Manager/Supervisor. Staff should be on premises at least 15 min prior to the commencement of their shift. Maintain a high level of staff morale and discipline. Ensure high level of personal hygiene and uniform standard. Set tasks and monitor educational progress of new staff. Progressive disciplinary procedures followed. Consistent follow up of performance evaluations for all employees....
