As a Sales Professional you will be part of a great RBC community of colleagues who share an interest in helping clients thrive and communities prosper. You will manage, retain and grow a portfolio of clients by deepening existing client relationships and acquiring new ones through a client experience that shows genuine interest and care. You will engage clients in discovery conversations to learn more about them and their families so as to provide expert advice to help meet their immediate and future needs. Your curiosity to learn and innovate will enable you to be resilient to change and action new ideas that will improve and impact the lives of our clients as they come to our branches.

 

What will you do?

 

  • Retain and grow a portfolio of clients and their families, deepen existing relationships and acquire new ones by engaging them in discovery conversation to learn more about them so as to provide the best advice and solutions to meet their immediate and future financial needs
  • Be a digital ambassador to use, educate and demonstrate to our clients and employees, RBC’s Access and Convenience solutions
  • Create and execute a contact management strategy to keep connected with clients regularly to discuss financial needs for themselves as well as their families
  • Collaborate and refer to other partners to win as one RBC team and bring the best of RBC to our clients
  • Partner with colleagues in community and in-branch initiatives to share with clients how RBC can make a difference
  • Manage risks by adhering to compliance routines, processes, and controls to protect client and shareholder interests when doing business with clients
  • Demonstrate commitment and embrace continuous learning to innovate, grow and build on existing proficiencies
  • Be a role model/mentor to peers/colleagues

 

What do you need to succeed?

 

Must-have:

 

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance or Business or equivalent Sales experience
  • Caring, curious, energetic and have a passion and genuine desire to help clients and make a positive difference in their lives
  • Ability to deepen and develop client relationships that will generate client loyalty and referrals
  • Solid acumen of the financial industry & competitors
  • Flexible, resilient to change and be able to persevere despite uncertainty
  • Digitally savvy with a broad range of devices (i.e., smartphones, tablets, laptops, etc.)
  • Accomplished experience and exposure in contact and pipeline management
