Job Description

Job Title: Accounts Executive- Payables

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Perform data entry and complete processing of a high volume of payable invoices including reviewing and verifying accuracy of accompanying documentation
  • Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
  • Reconcile Accounts Payable to the General Ledger on a monthly basis, prepare journal entries and assist in the month end closing process
  • Answer questions and inquiries from departments, employers, vendors, and contractors concerning accounts and invoices
  • File and maintain records of all transactions within the Accounts Payable section

Skills and Attributes:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred; an Associate's degree will be considered along with level of work experience
  • Minimum of five years working experience in accounting with at least three years in accounts payable function
  • Ability to keep information confidential
  • Ability to prioritize and to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Eye for detail and accuracy is imperative
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient with MS Word and Excel
