Full Time Administrative & Support Services Assistant Human Resources

Job Description

We are looking for a highly organized individual to fill the role of Human Resource Clerk. This individual will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day activities of our Human Resources Department.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and updating human resources records by recording new hires, transfers, terminations, changes in job classifications, tracking vacation, sick, and personal time. Notifying employees of approvals
  • Scheduling and co-coordinating interview and training appointments
  • Performing applicant reference checks
  • Assist with welcoming new employees to the organization by conducting orientation
  • Reviewing attendance records and creating reports for tardiness and absences
  • Compiling data for performance reviews
  • Documenting human resources actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records
  • Provides secretarial support by entering, formatting, and printing information; organizing work; answering the telephone; relaying messages; maintaining office supply inventory
  • Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping human resource information confidential
  • Assist with special projects when assigned

 

Knowledge & Skills

  • Associates degree in Business or related field or a minimum of 3 years’ work experience, preferably in an administrative role
  • Professional demeanor and a demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional service to both internal and external customers
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with external contacts and staff
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft office suite applications (e.g. Word, Excel and PowerPoint) 
  • Must be able to multitask in a fast paced and demanding work environment
  • Ability to work well under limited supervision
  • Deadline oriented
  • Time management and organizational skills necessary
  • Must be able to work flexible hours inclusive of Saturdays as needed
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
