Job Description

Job Title: Branch Management Support

Credit Suisse AG, is presently considering applications for the branch management department.

The Branch Support function is responsible for working with the Nassau Branch Manager on effective delivery of the branch mandate, oversight of Branch activities and ensuring a robust governance structure and control environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring appropriate delivery of all Branch regulatory and Credit Suisse Group commitments
  • Ensuring effective processes are in place to address adherence to legislation governing licenses granted by regulatory bodies
  • Ensuring internal processes are in place to properly manage regulatory inspections, inquiries, and all other interaction with regulators
  • Ensuring maintenance of robust governance structure for the Branch, including production of key Branch MI and committee materials
  • Ensuring front and back processes are well controlled and aligned with Credit Suisse global standards
  • Ensuring a strong overall control environment within the Branch, including documentation of control frameworks
  • Working with the Branch Manager in coordination with Divisional management, Corporate Functions and New Business, to support cross-divisional strategic initiatives and ensure that the risks associated with such initiatives are properly assessed
  • Acting as point person for local management, COOs, and Credit Suisse Senior Management on any topics requiring attention in the Bahamas across divisions
  • Coordinating and administering selected divisional, business, and market area strategic initiatives and handling of regular and ad-hoc risk related analyses
  • Maintaining and supporting a comprehensive business continuity plan for the branch
  • Supporting the development of the Branch's human capital plan, acting in a leadership capacity for the local organization, and driving forward human capital initiatives

Minimum Qualifications/Attributes:

  • University degree with a Major in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field 
  • At least 7 years of related industry experience up to a senior level position, as well as extensive control/ regulatory function
  • Client oriented and highly reliable with extraordinary leadership skills
  • Ability to make independent decisions with a track record of leading by influence
  • Experience with managing complex change programs and regulatory deliverables
  • Ability to work successfully in a dynamic, team oriented setting
  • Ability to build respect and trust from colleagues and business partners
  • Drive, initiative, integrity and adaptability
  • Strong organizatinal, negotiation, time management, problem solving, and analytical skills
