What you will also have already accomplished:

College Degree
1+ year hotel/retail experience
Hospitality/Assistant Store Manager experience preferred

Description of Responsibilities

  • Baha Mar’s Assistant Store Manager will be responsible for overseeing all Sales Associates and the daily operations of a retail store to ensure the store’s success and achievement of all stated revenue and financial goals. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Ensure optimum delivery of Store Management and Retail Operations strategies, balancing a pragmatic approach with need to consistently perform to a standard of excellence
  • Lead sales associates to understand value of team work, by motivating and inspiring enthusiastic and productive behavior
  • Understand company vision and effectively communicate objectives and goals to team
  • Train Sales Associates by reviewing and revising orientation to products and sales training materials; conduct training sessions
  • Provide exceptional service to customers; strive to exceed sales goals and objectives; remain on floor 60% of time
  • Schedule, coach and discipline Sales Associates; review team’s results and learning needs with the Manager to develop and implement new product training
  • Prepare sales and customer relations reports by analyzing and categorizing sales information, identifying and investigating customer complaints and suggestions
  • Maintain inventory by checking merchandise to determine inventory levels, anticipating customer demand
  • Prepare sales reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information
  • Interact with Sales & Stock Associates to maintain proper amount of merchandise on the selling floor and flow of merchandise from warehouse
  • Maintain appearance on selling floor, insuring that all merchandise is ticketed, steamed, dusted and fully stocked
  • Assist with coordinating all floor set-ups, and subsequent floor moves to create and impeccable atmosphere for guest
  • Maintain a safe and clean store adhering to all safety rules and regulations
  • Promote sales by assisting customers and being a role model for the selling staff by sharing techniques, trends, fabric content and exemplary guest service
  • Each day inform staff of daily goals and new merchandise, sales, and special events
  • Review the selling team quarterly based on format developed with Manager and HR
  • Uphold the highest standards of courtesy and conduct exceeding expectations
  • Total compliance with Baha Mar’s standards of operation
  • Stay current on hospitality best practices and industry trends
  • Perform other duties as assigned
