Position Summary:

Reporting to the Managing Director, Wealth Management, as well as to a Board of Directors, the Managing Director is directly responsible for the profitable running of the trust business in The Bahamas and significantly growing the business through key contacts and proven business development techniques. 

Requirements & Personal Attributes:

Candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum of 10 years experience in a bank and trust environment at a senior management level with significant exposure in developing operational strategies and must be able to demonstrate ability and experience for effective diverse risk management capabilities
  • Experience in managing complex trusts and developing fiduciary standards for high net worth clients
  • In depth knowledge of trust and company administration, estate planning and investment products
  • Proven growth and business development experience
  • Experience in building relationships and working with the other pillars of Private Wealth Management to successfully deliver a holistic client experience
  • Strong technical and managerial skills required for activities such as business model development; creation of profit plan objectives and delivering results
  • Proven experience managing people in particular, senior level direct reports and excellent organizational, time management and communication skills
  • Excellent and proven negotiation and conflict resolution skills are essential
  • Expertise in current banking and trust legislation and regulations
  • Strong problem-solving and decision making skills
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
