Island Company Harbour Island is currently seeking a highly qualified Store Manager. The Store Manager will be responsible for leading the management and daily operations of the store. Ideal candidates will have luxury retail management experience and a keen understanding of the Island Company brand.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Meet Sales Goals
  • Assist in the tracking, monitoring, and communication of business results
  • Provide outstanding customer service
  • Ensure an elevated level of sales and service is practiced by all associates; lead by example
  • Build and maintain a repeat clientele with constant follow up utilizing a guest book
  • Keep sales floor and merchandise neat, organized and stocked
  • Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of the merchandise, and develop product knowledge among selling staff
  • Resolve all client problems and complaints quickly and effectively
  • Assist in the maintenance of all inventory in the stockroom and on the selling floor
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures
  • Understand and properly execute all management register functions
  • Ensure employee appearance and grooming standards are professional and reflective of the brand at all times
  • Oversee staff training in all areas of appropriate register usage and maintenance
  • Oversee implementation and maintenance of all merchandising and marketing directives
  • Identify and communicate product concerns in a timely manner
  • Understand and execute cash control procedures including: bank deposits, safe funds, petty cash, etc.
  • Adhere to work schedule

Qualifications & Skills

  • 3-5 years of high end retail management experience
  • QuickBooks Point-of-Sale and Microsoft Office experience
  • Self-Motivated and dependable
  • Keen sense of current fashion and trends and fashion sensibility
