As our Assistant Retail Store Manager, you will be a dynamic force behind our store’s day-to-day operations and long-term success. From managing inventory and customer relationships to overseeing in-store experiences and supporting online sales growth, this role blends the structure of retail management with the creativity of marketing and the drive of sales.
You’ll work closely with our Store Manager and Founder to ensure the brand remains exceptional, the team stays motivated, and the store continues to grow both in-store and online.
Retail Operations & Team Leadership
Support daily store operations, from opening to close
Supervise and motivate retail team to ensure customer satisfaction
Monitor inventory, restocking, merchandising, and visual displays
Handle point-of-sale transactions, reporting, and cash management
Sales & Marketing
Drive in-store sales through promotions, storytelling, and upselling
Execute local marketing campaigns and seasonal in-store events
Collaborate with our online team to coordinate content, promotions, and product launches
Analyze sales data and customer feedback to boost conversion and engagement
Brand Ambassadorship
Deliver exceptional, heartfelt service that represents the soul of our brand
Cultivate genuine relationships with customers, turning them into lifelong supporters
Represent Island Soles with pride and authenticity on social media and in-store interactions
A natural leader who thrives in a people-first environment
Experienced in retail management (at least 2 years preferred)
Knowledgeable in sales strategy and visual merchandising
Comfortable with basic digital tools (POS systems, Shopify, Canva, etc.)
Confident in executing local marketing campaigns and in-store promotions
Organized, detail-oriented, and great at multitasking
Deeply passionate about Bahamian brands, craftsmanship, and culture
