Animal Care Attendant

We are stunning but remote resort island located in the South Exumas offering our guests unimaginable experiences. If you love water, beaches, fishing and nature, you will love our stunning island.

We require an experienced Animal Care Assistant for our 2 exotic birds and tortoise family.

Applicants should:

• Have a minimum of one years' experience caring for similar types of animals.
• Be passionate about animals.
• Duties include, cleaning the animal areas daily.
• Preparing food for and feeding the animals daily.
• Spending time with the animals providing them with enrichment.
• Making toys for the exotic birds.
• Always keeping the animal kitchen / storeroom exceptionally clean and tidy.
• Computer skills will be required to use company software, therefore must be proficient with word and excel spreadsheets.

Terms of Employment:

• Shifts consist of weekdays and weekends, like the rest of the island team.
• 3 meals a day are provided in our staff canteen.
• You will be provided with private accommodation that has a kitchenette and use of communal laundry facilities.
• Our team works 6 days a week and are paid in accordance with the Bahamas Employment Act.
• Salary will depend on experience and qualifications.
• You will receive (4) four weeks paid leave per year.
• You are required to complete 3 months’ probation before taking leave from the island.
• You will need to provide a clean police certificate.
• We will require 2 references.
