Position Summary: The Front Desk Agent is responsible for providing exceptional guest service by managing check-ins and check outs, addressing guest inquiries and concerns, and performing various administrative tasks to ensure smooth front desk operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recognize and greets guests, making guest courtesy calls
- Uses suggested selling techniques to sell rooms, advance reservations and marketing programs. Registers, assigns rooms, issues room keys and provides directions to guests
- Process, controls and confirms reservations
- Maintains records of room availability and guests’ accounts
- Responds appropriately to information requests and complaints
- Operates Front Desk equipment, including POS and credit card processing
- Provides security for guests and the property by controlling room keys, verifying cash banks, making safe drops, preparing cash reports, following credit card verifications procedures and reporting suspicious activity by guests or others
- Maintain market security, appearance and inventory
- Completes paperwork necessary for front Desk operations (registration folios, credit card vouchers, cashier reports, room reports, prepaid reservations log)
- Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel services, registration of guests, travel directions and local activities (shopping, dining, entertainment)
- Computes bills, collect payments, and make change for guests. Post charges (room, food, beverages or telephone) to ledger
- Maintains a well-groomed, professional appearance. Extends hospitality and courtesy to guests and co-workers
- Ensures compliance with brand standards
- Performs other duties as assigned by Management
