Job Summary:

The Human Resources Manager will play a vital role in fostering a harmonious work environment. The prospective candidate will serve as the internal expert on all HR related matters. The candidate will facilitate the effective flow of communication between all stakeholders whilst implementing tactical HR initiatives that align with the company’s culture and core values.  This position is cross-functional in scope and works as the incumbent will also oversee the Monitoring Department in an effort to produce superior client satisfaction and effective product delivery.

Job Description:

  • Enhance the organization’s human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices.
  • Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with management to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Implement or maintain new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
  • Ensure accuracy of documentation on new hires, pay changes, vacation, sick days, deductions etc. Ensure accuracy on terminations, medical and NIB deductions and payroll percentages.
  • Monitor training needs and liaise with management to manage employee training programs.
  • Support all training initiatives. Monitor key indicators ensuring that employees are taking full advantage of training programs. Emphasize development opportunities and follow up with class attendees ensuring the desired results.
  • Manager performance management systems to track employee performance and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Develop and implement employee retention and employee engagement programs to increase employee retention.
  • Oversee and process payroll, compensations and benefits.
  • Conduct employee surveys and analyze the results to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and manage employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive work environment.
  • Attend and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Maintain confidentially.
  • Provide analytical views on HR reports and make recommendations for employee retention and
  • development.
  • Maintain accurate employee files both in hard copies and electronically.
  • Corporate Relationship Management for all locations.
  • Responsible for overseeing, monitoring, managing and maintaining the performance of the monitoring department utilizing daily reports to ensure quality assurance.
  • Lead and manage employees to create a culture of collaboration and high performance.
  • Exemplify job professionalism by exercising discretion and good judgement, while keeping company and customer information confidential.
  • Maintain a sufficient level of technical knowledge and understanding of core services.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Minimum five years of human resources management experience
  • HRCI/SHRM certifications highly preferred
  • Drive and independent focus to develop and improve processes and service delivery.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good analytical and reporting skills
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple departments and teams.

Preferred Skills:

  • A thorough knowledge of Human Resources, including the use of quality improvement principals, key performance indicators and service metrics.
  • Ability to develop and interpret policies and procedures to interact effectively with a diverse population and to facilitate decision making.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Minimum four years of human resources supervisory/management experience
  • HRCI/SHRM certifications highly preferred
  • Demonstrated strong supervisory/managerial skills
