Job Summary:

The Landscaper is responsible for maintaining an attractive, sanitary, and safe facility for both our internal and external guests. They will perform tasks such as but not limited to mowing, edging, bed grooming, pruning, fertilization, blowing, weed control and repair of irrigation. The Landscaper plans and completes landscaping maintenance activities according to schedules, standards, and procedures.

  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Landscaper is responsible for, but not limited to the following:

Operation and Team Management

  • Trim/prune trees and hedge overgrowth
  • Apply fertilizer and pesticides as needed.
  • Remove weeds and dead plants to encourage healthy plant growth.
  • Plant trees, shrubs, flowers and grass.
  • Assist in maintaining the shed.
  • Rake, clean and maintain assigned areas.
  • Assist with basic grounds/beach upkeep as needed.
  • Remove and dispose of trash from assigned areas.
  • Promote a safe work environment; Comply with the safety competencies and all company policies.
  • Uphold environmental policies and procedures.
  • Complete work logs and report any issues.
  • Load and unload landscaping tools
  • Ensure all supplies and equipment (i.e. rakes, shovels, hose, clippers) are maintained, properly stored at all times.
  • Any other duties assigned by Management.

 

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least two years minimum experience in landscaping.

 

SKILLS & SPECIFICATIONS:

  • At least two years’ experience in landscaping
  • Must be physically fit.
  • Basic understanding of irrigation systems, hand, and electrical tools usage
  • Ability to work in an outdoor environment.

 

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Ability to speak English clearly, distinctly, and cordially with employees and guests.
  • Ability to read and write English to understand and interpret written procedures. This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from guests, managers, and co-workers.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Must be physically fit.
  • Must have strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in an outdoor environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and think critically.
  • Previous work experience preferred.

 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
  • Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
  • May be required to work shifts.
