Lead Electrician

Job Summary:

The Lead Electrician is responsible for the installation maintenance and repairs of transformers, panel boards and branch circuit wiring; bends and installs various types of conduits and duct systems; installs raceways and panels; installs lighting systems, receptacles, fixtures, and switches; fabricates brackets, holders and supports; installs, maintains, and repairs. The Lead Electrician provides a detailed design package that complies with applicable engineering design standards and all safety codes.

  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Lead Electrician is responsible for, but not limited to the following:

  • Supervising the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical controls, wiring, and lighting systems.
  • Reading technical diagrams and blueprints. Coordinates the electrical services in all guests, employees, and public areas on site.
  • Supervising and performing the general electrical daily, weekly, monthly and annual maintenance on the site.
  • Coordinates the inspection of transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical components.
  • Coordinates and performs the troubleshooting of electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
  • Supervising and performing the repair and replacement of equipment, electrical wiring, and fixtures.
  • Coordinates circuit breaker corrective maintenance activities
  • Coordinates troubleshooting of electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
  • All duties required by Site Engineer
  • Collect record report and store pertinent data

 

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least three-five (3-5) years’ experience working as an electrician.
  • At least one-two (2-3) years’ supervisory experience as an electrician lead or related functions.
  • Certified 3 phase electrician

 

SKILLS & SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Working knowledge of electrical theory, and the associated principles, materials, and equipment
  • Experience with or knowledge of using hand-powered tools.
  • Takes responsibility, pay attention to safety procedures and legal regulations.
  • Troubleshoots problems and makes timely repairs.
  • Electrical system, power generation, blueprints, maintenance, and repair knowledge.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Following National Electrical Code state and local building regulations.
  • Adhere to all HESS policies and procedures.

 

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Ability to speak English clearly, distinctly, and cordially with employees and guests.
  • Ability to read and write English to understand and interpret written procedures. This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from guests, managers and co-workers.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Must be physically fit.
  • Must have strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in an outdoor environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and think critically.
  • Previous work experience preferred.

 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
  • Work may require working inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
  • May be required to work shifts.
