Job Summary: 

The Cabana Attendant is responsible for conducting setup, maintenance and ensuring the successful day to day operations of the Cabanas at Celebration Key. Additionally, the Cabana Attendant follows the directive of the Cabana Concierge to ensure guest needs are met and any concerns are addressed accordingly.

  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

The Cabana Attendant is responsible for, but not limited to the following: 

  • Greets and escorts guests to their assigned cabanas in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all Cabanas are properly maintained and outfitted with the required equipment and materials.
  • Deliver food and drinks to cabana guests.
  • Uphold environmental policies and procedures.
  • Perform cleaning duties to ensure Cabana and immediate area is kept clean and tidy.
  • Checking Cabana guests periodically throughout the day to ensure that they are settled into Bungalows and receiving all amenities according to tour description.
  • Report all damages or malfunctioning appliances to the Cabana Concierge
  • Maintain quality service standards.
  • Any other duties assigned by Management.

 

SKILLS & SPECIFICATIONS: 

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Current Health Certificate
  • Ability to Multi-task
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • Must be certified in First AID and CPR

 

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:  

  • Ability to speak English clearly, distinctly, and cordially with employees and guests.  
  • Ability to read and write English to understand and interpret written procedures. This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from guests, managers, and co-workers. 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  

  • Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time with exposure to direct sunlight.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 15 pounds.
  • All island employees must be physically able to participate in emergency lifesaving procedures and drills. Full use/range of motion of arms and legs as well as full visual, verbal and hearing abilities are required to receive and give instructions in the event of an emergency.

 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:  

  • Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
  • Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
  • May be requested to work a different shift.
