Job Summary:
The Shorex Coordination Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of all shore excursions at Celebration Key. This role involves managing a team, working with local vendors, and ensuring that all excursions meet our high standards of quality and safety.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Shorex Coordination Supervisor is responsible for, but not limited to the following:
Operation and Team Management
- Develop and manage a diverse portfolio of shore excursions, ensuring a range of options that cater to various guest interests and preferences.
- Coordinate with local vendors and service providers to secure and negotiate excursion contracts and services.
- Oversee the logistics of excursion operations, including transportation, guides, and other necessary arrangements.
- Supervise and support a team of Shorex Coordinators and staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Develop and implement training programs to ensure staff are knowledgeable about excursions, safety procedures, and guest service standards.
- Create and manage staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for all excursion operations.
- Ensure that all excursions are executed smoothly and provide a high level of guest satisfaction.
- Address and resolve any guest issues or concerns related to shore excursions promptly and professionally.
- Collect and analyze guest feedback to continuously improve the quality and appeal of excursions.
Compliance & Quality Control
- Uphold environmental policies and procedures.
- Promote a safe work environment; Comply with the safety competencies and all company policies.
- Adhere to the company’s standards regarding dress and appearance.
- Extend appropriate greeting to all guests and crew at every opportunity using their names.
- Always apply hospitality standards in guest and crew areas.
- Follow all safety regulations during duty.
- Follow all environmental, company and HESS policies and procedures as applicable for the position.
Reporting & Maintenance
- Complete work logs and report any issues to the Guest Experience Manager.
- Assist with management and maintenance of all equipment.
- Report all repairs to be made in assigned section, especially safety related issues and follow-up with management as necessary.
- Advise any guest challenges immediately to the Guest Experience Manager.
- Assist the Guest Experience Manager with tasks as requested.
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Travel and Tourism, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in shore excursion coordination, travel management, or a similar role, with at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity.
SKILLS & SPECIFICATIONS:
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage complex logistics and large groups.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on delivering outstanding guest experiences.
- Proven experience in negotiating with vendors and managing budgets.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to speak English clearly, distinctly and cordially with employees and guests.
- Ability to read and write English in order to understand and interpret written procedures. This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from guests, managers and co-workers.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be physically fit.
- Must have strong customer service skills.
- Ability to work in an outdoor environment.
- Ability to multi-task and think critically.
- Previous work experience preferred.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
- Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
- May be requested to work a different shift.
