Job Summary:
Responsible for selling the various excursions to guests; coordinating tour dispatches and assisting in various clerical duties when required; Assists with the printing of tour tickets and distributing to passengers. This position will report to the Shorex Coordination Supervisor at Celebration Key.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Shorex Sales Attendant is responsible for, but not limited to the following:
- Actively promote and sell shore excursions to guests, highlighting key features and benefits of each option.
- Provide guests with detailed information about excursion itineraries, pricing, and availability.
- Upsell additional services or upgrades to enhance the guest experience.
- Assist guests with their shore excursion bookings, answering questions and providing recommendations based on their preferences and needs.
- Handle booking modifications, cancellations, and special requests in a professional and efficient manner.
- Address and resolve any guest concerns or issues related to excursions promptly and courteously.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of all excursion reservations and transactions.
- Collaborate with the Shorex Coordination team to confirm excursion details, availability, and any special requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all excursion offerings and changes to provide accurate information to guests.
- Manage and track sales data, including daily reports, booking statistics, and inventory of promotional materials.
- Assist with maintaining and organizing excursion brochures, promotional displays, and other sales materials.
- Prepare and process any necessary paperwork related to excursion bookings and sales.
- Support the Shorex Sales Supervisor in achieving sales targets and goals.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay informed about new excursions, policies, and sales strategies.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of sales processes and guest service practices.
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in hospitality, sales, or a related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in sales, customer service, or a related role, preferably in a hospitality or travel environment.
SKILLS & SPECIFICATIONS:
- Strong sales skills with the ability to effectively promote and sell products and services.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on delivering outstanding guest service.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and reservation systems.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to speak English clearly, distinctly and cordially with employees and guests.
- Ability to read and write English in order to understand and interpret written procedures. This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from guests, managers and co-workers.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be physically fit.
- Must have strong customer service skills.
- Ability to work in an outdoor environment.
- Ability to multi-task and think critically.
- Previous work experience preferred.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
- Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
- May be requested to work a different shift.
