Transportation Supervisor

Job Summary: 

The Transportation Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the transportation operations at Celebration Key. This role involves managing the daily operations of our transportation services, including shuttle buses, private transfers, and other guest transport needs, ensuring smooth, efficient, and high-quality service.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

The Transportation Supervisor is responsible for, but not limited to the following: 

Operation and Team Management

  • Supervise and coordinate all transportation services, including shuttle buses, private transfers, and other guest transportation options.
  • Ensure all transportation services operate on schedule, with a focus on timeliness, safety, and guest satisfaction.
  • Manage and lead a team of drivers, coordinators, and other transportation staff, providing guidance, training, and support.
  • Ensure all guest interactions with transportation services are handled professionally and efficiently.
  • Address and resolve any guest complaints or issues related to transportation, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Coordinate transportation schedules and logistics with other departments and external vendors to ensure seamless operations.
  • Manage transportation reservations, including group bookings and special arrangements.

 

Compliance & Quality Control

  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
  • Foster a positive work environment and encourage a high level of customer service.
  • Implement and monitor service standards to ensure consistent and high-quality guest interactions.
  • Develop and implement procedures for efficient handling of high guest volumes and special requests.
  • Ensure all transportation operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including safety standards and licensing requirements.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of vehicles and facilities.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure the well-being of guests and staff.

 

Reporting & Maintenance

  • Monitor vehicle fleet maintenance, cleanliness, and safety, addressing any issues promptly.
  • Monitor and manage transportation budgets, including costs related to vehicle maintenance, fuel, and staffing.
  • Analyze transportation data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.

 

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Transportation Management, Hospitality, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in transportation management or a similar role, with a strong background in guest services.

 

SKILLS & SPECIFICATIONS: 

  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards.

 

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:  

  • Ability to speak English clearly, distinctly and cordially with employees and guests.  
  • Ability to read and write English in order to understand and interpret written procedures. This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from guests, managers and co-workers. 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  

  • Must be physically fit.
  • Must have strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in an outdoor environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and think critically.
  • Previous work experience preferred.  

 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:  

  • Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
  • Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
  • May be requested to work a different shift.
