Job Summary:
The Inventory Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily warehousing activities. This role ensures that the warehouse operates efficiently and effectively, ensuring timely and accurate receipt, storage, and dispatch of products and supplies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Inventory Supervisor is responsible for, but not limited to the following:
Operation and Team Management
- Oversee the daily operations of inventory control, including monitoring stock levels, managing orders, and ensuring accurate inventory records.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to verify stock levels and identify discrepancies.
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to optimize stock levels and reduce waste.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to order necessary inventory items, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
- Track inventory usage and trends to forecast demand and adjust ordering schedules accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, including receipts, transfers, and adjustments.
- Supervise and train inventory staff, providing guidance and support to ensure effective inventory management practices.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities, monitor performance, and address any issues or challenges.
- Foster a collaborative and efficient work environment, encouraging team development and continuous improvement.
- Prepare and analyze inventory reports, including stock levels, turnover rates, and discrepancies.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on inventory data to improve efficiency and profitability.
- Collaborate with management to develop strategies for inventory optimization and cost reduction.
- Ensure that inventory storage areas are organized, clean, and compliant with safety and regulatory standards.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and protect inventory.
- Address any safety or compliance issues promptly and effectively.
- Identify opportunities for improving inventory processes and procedures, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in inventory management technologies.
- Continuously evaluate and refine inventory strategies to align with organizational goals.
- Utilize warehouse management systems to streamline operations.
- Collaborate with Inventory Manager to develop and implement operational policies and procedures.
Compliance & Quality Control
- Uphold environmental policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Promote a safe work environment; Comply with the safety competencies and all company policies.
- Adhere to the company’s standards regarding dress and appearance.
- Extend appropriate greeting to all guests at every opportunity using their names.
- Follow all safety regulations during duty.
- Follow all environmental, company and HESS policies and procedures as applicable for the position.
Reporting & Maintenance
- Complete work logs and report any issues to the Inventory Manager.
- Assist with management and maintenance of all units and common spaces on site.
- Report all repairs to be made in assigned section, especially safety related issues and follow-up with management as necessary.
- Advise any employee or security challenges immediately to the Inventory Manager.
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in inventory management or a related role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
SKILLS & SPECIFICATIONS:
- Strong knowledge of inventory control procedures, stock management, and supply chain operations.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and standard office applications (e.g., Excel, Word).
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities, with experience managing a team effectively.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Previous work experience preferred.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
- Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
- May be requested to work a different shift.
