Job / Advertisement Description
Main Duties and Responsibilities: - Make daily observations of all Water Quality LSS, water park and water features systems, reporting any abnormalities or change to necessary Management personnel.
- Maintains Water Quality systems in accordance with routine and preventative maintenance programs, and all applicable standards.
- Maintains and repairs all related pumps, motors, valves, vessels, ozone equipment, chillers, heaters, exhibit lights, chemical equipment, grates, strainers, ride equipment and other system machinery.
- Performs necessary water tests and analysis.
- Works with a variety of chemicals utilizing safe handling procedures.
- Maintains Water Quality records through daily logging of all chemical and mechanical data, daily work activities, and other operational standards.
- Stays current in all required environmental, safety and health related training.
- Must be able to perform basic emergency procedures relating to all Water Quality systems.
- Maintains a safe, clean, hygienic and tidy work environment at all times.
- Performs physically demanding work involving bending, lifting and climbing to various heights.
- Continuous personal and professional development must be maintained.
- Acquire basic knowledge in Water Quality systems through participation, listening, observation, and learning resources provided.
- Interacts with guests by providing courteous and professional information.
- Report for duty at scheduled times and in proper uniform. Must be available for any shift necessary.
- Maintain a sound knowledge of the Company's facilities and related services.
- Develop a professional approach to the career and function as a team member showing consideration, tolerance, cooperation, reliability and the ability to accept constructive criticism.
- Performs all reasonable duties related to Water Quality and guest needs as requested by management and as the department requires regardless of time, day or location.
- Responsible for understanding and applying all information contained in SOP's and department manuals.
- Perform other reasonable duties that may be requested from time to time.
- The Company operates a twenty-four (24) hour, seven (7) days a week business. Therefore, it may be necessary to change the accustomed shifts at times, as the business demands.
Required Qualifications: - High school diploma or general education diploma.
- Must have a keen interest in mechanical, electrical and plumbing skills, with a willingness to continue this education.
- Excellent health and physical condition.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethics
- Must be flexible to work shifts, holidays and weekends.
Skills and Abilities - Basic operational knowledge of Water Quality mechanical systems for all animal life support, waterpark and waterfeatures
- Demonstrate the ability to learn the skills necessary through avenues of observations and direction.
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate in a clear and professional manner.
- Must be able to work independently and as well as a team member
- Must enjoy guest interaction
