  • Prior hospitality experience required.

Description of Responsibilities

SLS at Baha Mar's Guest Services/PBX Agent will work together with the Guest Services Manager and will be responsible for extending a personal and 5 Star greeting for those calling into and within our property. This position is an information source for those calling the hotel. Knowledge of the property's amenities, hotel layout, and area attractions are necessary for this person's success. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Answers and directs all external incoming telephone calls following Forbes telephone etiquette.
  • Answers all internally generated guest and delivery-related associate calls.
  • Dispatches delivery, security, banquets, engineering, housekeeping and others to the correct area.
  • Answers guests' questions and assists them with their needs, ensuring all requests are followed through and completed.
  • Handles guests' complaints and takes action to resolve problems.
  • Accepts and relays guests' messages, either manually, written or through voice mail system.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
  • Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must possess basic computational ability.
  • Must possess basic computer skills.
  • Must be able to sit at a desk for up to 7 hours per day. Walking and standing are required the rest of the working day. Length of time of these tasks may vary from day today and task to task.
  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
  • Perform other duties as required.
