BHM Co. Ltd. is currently seeking an Assistant Financial Controller to join their Accounts team in Nassau.

Position Overview:

The Assistant Financial Controller will play a critical role in supporting the financial operations of the company. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this position will assist with financial reporting, forecasting, and compliance while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong analytical skills, and have a solid understanding of international accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements and reports.
  • Support the Financial Controller in ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
  • Review and reconcile general ledger accounts and transactions.
  • Coordinate and prepare financial forecasts and budgets.
  • Assist with external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Assist with Managing accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance and provide insights for improvement.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Handle ad-hoc financial projects and analyses as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
