POSITION SUMMARY:
The Fiberglass Repairman is responsible for the waterslides maintenance, fiberglass repairs, paints, silicone, color, and coating restoration. The position undertakes a variety of fiberglass tasks ranging from diagnosing issues in waterslides, performing cosmetic repairs, replacing defective parts, applying fiber layers to surfaces, sculpting materials, and using molds to create new parts. The Fiberglass Repairman is knowledgeable in fiberglass products, skilled in laminating, molding surfaces, and assembling fiberglass parts with great attention to detail. This role is committed to a safety-first culture to ensure optimum safety for Guests, Visitors, and Team Members.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Conducts repairs on fiberglass units, including rides or other projects as assigned which involves preparing fiberglass (sanding and filing) for painting, coating, and silicone restoration. Inspects and fabricates new fiberglass units.
• Performs daily preventative maintenance, checks on water slides, equipment, tools, and subsequent repairs.
• Cleans and assembles molds, lays fiberglass inside a mold, trims excess materials from molds using hand shears or trimming knives, and rolls it out per specifications. Constructs new molds and patterns.
• Spray-paints ride units and other fiberglass objects. Smooths out wrinkles and air bubbles.
• Cuts, grinds, assembles, and molds fiberglass parts by hand. Applies parting agents or other solutions to molds.
• Sets up, tends, and operates multiple machines and tools, including industrial fiberglass applicators and finishers.
• Works with catalysts, resins, and chemicals following safety procedures (MSDS).
• Performs bonding of metal to composite materials to metal using advanced adhesive materials, sealants, and rivets. • Prepares surfaces by using various techniques, such as crimping, sandblasting, painting, etc.
• Cuts pieces of the fiberglass in accurate size and design as required for the repairing work.
• Checks products for conformance and quality using measuring tools, visual and physical checks.
• Fixes defective areas and grinds fiberglass for repairs by using power saws, drills, and hand tools. Cures materials.
• Uses clear, concise, and professional communication in person, over the radio, and in written format.
• Demonstrates effective teamwork and collaboration, and time management skills.
• Maintains an orderly and clean work area, with all tools in good repair.
• Adheres to all Company policies regarding PPE and Chemical Management.
• Sets up and closes working areas as per schedule or as instructed by the Management Team.
• Participates in trainings and meetings. Adheres to a Company confidentiality agreement.
• Follows the destination’s grooming standards. Ensures personal appearance, hygiene, and uniform appearance are always in accordance with Company policy. Maintains a safe and sanitary environment for Guests and the Team.
• Acknowledges and greets Guests, Visitors, and Team Members in public spaces with a warm, friendly greeting.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• A High School Diploma or basic education equivalency. Proficiency in mathematics and conversion of measurements. • Minimum two (2) years of experience in a similar position utilizing fiberglass or other composites production.
• Experience in industrial plastics, boat, or autobody repair work is required. Knowledge of harness and PPE.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to interpret basic instructions via detailed drawings and blueprints.
• Ability to resolve problems and to work without supervision.
• Good interpersonal skills to communicate with all levels of Management and Team Members.
• Ability to work positively and cooperatively in a diverse international Team environment.
• Ability to maintain focus, work with strict deadlines, multitask and be flexible and adaptable.
