Rosewood Baha Mar's Director of Housekeeping will work together with the Resort Manager and is responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and directing the housekeeping department at Rosewood Baha Mar.

What you will also have already accomplished:

• College Degree in Business, Hospitality or related field preferred

• Minimum of 3 years' management experience in a luxury or ultra-luxury hotel environment

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to exert physical effort in transporting 40 lbs, endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, reach up and down and remain stationary at times throughout work periods.

Description of Responsibilities

Rosewood Baha Mar's Director of Housekeeping will work together with the Resort Manager and is responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and directing the housekeeping department at Rosewood Baha Mar. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Ensure all of Rosewood Baha Mar's service standards and sequences of service are being upheld

• Maintain a close relationship with the Front Office and Engineering Teams

• Coordinate with Human Resources in establishing training methods and procedures for development of housekeeping Associates

• Develop working schedules to meet peak end stock periods and always remain within the labor low requirements

• Prepare annual Housekeeping (FF&E) and Operating Equipment Budget in consultation with Management

• Ensure guest satisfaction and address guest issues in a timely fashion

• Keep control of daily financial reports; update checks books and balances profit and loss at the end of each month

• Control costs, as well as labor costs, improving departmental revenue

• Ensured all public spaces are maintained to Rosewood Baha Mar's standards of service and design

• Work closely with Resort Manager & Managing Director in order to keep expenses within monthly forecast.

• Work closely with Purchasing Manager to ensure regular purchase and flow of supply and to keep a close supervision of housekeeping storeroom inventories.

• Train and develop housekeeping team to exceed guest expectations

• Maintain all linen closets in good standing.

• Make recommendations to management for modernization of equipment and chemicals.

• Responsible for monitoring payroll for staff and controlling operating expenses

• Manage Capital Expenditure projects directed to housekeeping areas

• Create new initiatives to improve efficiency of operational standards

• Perform other duties as assigned
