Job / Advertisement Description

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Reports for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and name badge at all times.
  • Represent the resort brand, its mission, vision and values to the internal and external customer in an excellent manner
  • Maintains a high standard of conduct and good working relationship with all staff members inside and outside the department.
  • Ensures work area is kept clean at all times.
  • Possesses a complete understanding of and adhere to policies within the employee handbook.
  • Cleans all public areas, corridors, employee and public bathrooms daily.
  • Cleans all Corporate, Executive and Administrative Offices, as well as, restaurants daily.
  • Cleans all carpets/floors daily by vacuuming, sweeping and/or mopping.
  • Cleans all windows.
  • Cleans and scrubs corridors in front and back of house.
  • Maintains clean guest and service elevators, inclusive of the tracks, mirrors, carpets, tiles, baseboards, light fixtures, indicator buttons and chromes.
  • Keeps all walls and signs clean and free of debris, dust, and graffiti.
  • Cleans and empties all garbage bins daily, including all receptacles on the outside of the building.
  • Ensures that all equipment is properly functioning within the department and that all malfunctions are reported to the manager immediately, i.e., pressure washer, wet vac and golf cart. etc.
  • Reports all engineering irregularities to the manager (i.e. Malfunctioned bathroom fixtures, toilets, etc.)
  • Attends training sessions when requested to ensure the development of proper skills and knowledge necessary to perform duties.
  • Maintains a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
  • Attends daily briefing meetings
  • Performs any other reasonable duties and projects per request by the supervisor within the scope of the job.
Customer Service Primary Responsibilities:
  • Displays the highest standards of customer service at all times, welcoming customers in a polite, precious and enthusiastic manner, paying attention at all times, anticipating and meeting their needs.
  • Responds quickly and positively to guests 'questions, problems, and complaints and resolves them effectively and consistently.
  • Maintains overall knowledge of the resort and provide proactive assistance to customers when appropriate using clear and concise conversation.
  • Always smiles and engages our guests first, using their name when appropriate and maintaining eye contact at all times.
  • Demonstrates departmental knowledge and efficiency at all times.
  • Stays well groomed, looking professional clean and appropriately fitted in compliance with the company's standards.
Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent vocational training
  • Minimum 1 year experience as hotel cleaner or in janitorial / cleaning position preferred.
  • Must be literate with above average verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a self-motivated environment with little supervision.
  • Ability to manage the administration of multiple tasks at one time.
