International Student Scholarships

International Student Scholarships for academic merit and family need are available. The merit scholarships alone can go as high as $10,000 per year, with additional funds awarded to help meet financial need.

Concordia prizes the contributions international students make to enhance education on campus, and we are pleased to make generous scholarships available that can cover a portion of the cost of attendance.

Merit-Based Awards -  from $3,000 to $10,000 per year

International Excellence Scholarships are competitive, merit-based scholarships that are awarded to international first-year students or transfer students for up to four years. Current scholarships range from $3,000 to $10,000 per year for the 2021-22 academic year. The amount of your award is determined by the strength of your academic record. Admitted students will receive notification of this scholarship at the time of admission.

Concordia Scholarship Interview

Admitted students who demonstrate the ability to pay a minimum of $21,000 per year are eligible to participate in a Concordia Scholarship interview. The virtual interview is the second phase of the scholarship program and an opportunity to earn additional scholarship resources to meet unmet financial need.

Dates for the next round of Concordia Scholarship interviews are March 18 and 19. Eligible students will receive an invitation to reserve an interview time.

Student Financial Aid Application Form

Talent Awards

Concordia College offers additional scholarship opportunities for students participating in visual arts, music, theatre, and speech. Separate applications are required. Students selected to receive these awards will be expected to participate in events and programs. More details below.

#YouAreWelcomeHere Scholarship

Concordia offers two annual, renewable scholarships of at least 50% of tuition to selected international undergraduate students dedicated to advancing intercultural learning and understanding at Concordia. First-year international students who have applied to Concordia can apply for the #YouAreWelcomeHere scholarship. All academic majors and fields of study are welcome to apply.

Students and their family or financial sponsor must be able to pay at least $21,000 per year as this is not a full scholarship.

Students will participate in a video interview to further explain the ways in which they will impact the campus through their dedication to advancing intercultural learning and understanding.  Students will be invited to participate in this video interview following admission.
