INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

A compelling feature for international students is the DuBois International House. It allows international students to share dorm life with other international students, other students who studied abroad, and any student with a desire to learn more about life in other parts of the world.

Our international student advisors assist students in adjusting to Morehouse. Please consult with them on any questions you may have. You can help avoid delays in the processing of your application by giving attention to the following requirements:

  1. Take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) examination and submit the scores to the admissions office unless you are a resident of an English-speaking country. For more information on TOEFL tests, visit ets.org/toefl.
  2. You must complete all national or regional school examinations, school qualifying examinations, and university entrance examinations.
  3. You must take the Scholastic Aptitude Test if you enroll as a freshman. Take this test with enough time for results to reach the admissions office for consideration in the admission decision.
  4. You must file an Affidavit of Support, indicating who will be responsible for your expenses while at Morehouse. In addition to the Affidavit of Support, a Financial Resource Statement (e.g., a recent bank statement) indicating the ability of the sponsor to support you, is required. The Immigration Form 1-20 will be a part of the formal acceptance packet. We do not make an admission decision until the application is complete.

Although international students are not eligible to receive federal financial assistance, Morehouse offers many competitive scholarships.
