What you will also have already accomplished:

•High School Diploma preferred

•1 year + of Pool Lifeguard experience

•Training in Water Rescue required

•Certified in CPR and life saving techniques required

•Limited Water Lifeguard (2 feet of water or less, no swimming required). Also certified in First Aid, Basic Life Support & Slide Dispatch

Description of Responsibilities

Baha Mar's Lifeguard will work together with the Lifeguard Supervisor to watch over guests at the waterpark to ensure the safe, smooth and efficient experience of all guest. The Lifeguard will respond to emergencies, operate rides and attractions and maintain essential swimming, lifeguard and basic life support skills. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

•Provide dynamic services to ensure guests are "wowed" by Baha Mar's waterpark

•Constantly monitor activities at assigned ride and attractions to prevent accidents

•Rescue swimmers in danger of drowning

•CPR training and administration of First Aid

•Caution swimmers regarding unsafe practices and safety hazards

•Enforce and ensure guests adhere to swimming rules and regulations in a friendly and helpful manner

•Follow emergency action plan and procedures established in the event of an emergency

•Maintain order in waterpark swimming areas

•Inspect facilities for cleanliness, complete general swimming area cleaning and maintenance duties

•Maintain rescue skill competency and basic life support skills

•Adhere to training standards

•Move furniture, ride vehicles and equipment in and out of the park

•Provide general information and instructions on ride operations to guests

•Perform various maintenance duties to maintain a clean and safe facility

•Provide periodic supervision and custodial needs of locker rooms

•Resolve guest complaints promptly, ensuring guest satisfaction

•Maintain complete knowledge of all equipment and services available for guests, all safety and sanitation regulations, and proper use of equipment and supplies

•Monitor and notify management when supplies are needed, and equipment requires repair

•Uphold company's key values and brand standards to encourage team to maintain culture of excellence and achieve top results

•Stay current on new trends and best practices in lifeguard safety and operations

•Perform other duties as assigned
