Job Requirements:

  • College Degree in Business, Hospitality or related field preferred
  • 5 years+ of management experience in Human Resources
  • Must have hospitality Human Resources experience

Description of Responsibilities

SLS at Baha Mar's Director of Human Resources will be responsible for planning, prioritizing and implementing Baha Mar Resort's centralized human resources strategy, service and management philosophy on values and standards including talent acquisition, retention, development & management, and HR administration, following local labor laws and policies. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure optimum delivery of HR processes and services, balancing a pragmatic approach with the need to consistently deliver services to a standard of excellence
  • Uphold company's key values and brand standards to encourage employees to maintain culture of excellence and achieve top results
  • Develop and direct brand wide training and deployment strategy including on-boarding and orientation
  • Lead internal communications ensuring company brand message, values and standards are communicated clearly to employees and understood by all
  • Monitor and control HR budget expenditure
  • Design and implement attracting, training and retaining programs, aligned with company talent management strategy
  • Manage appropriately all HR administrative aspects
  • Implement social responsibility projects for company; overseeing and participating in community events and maintaining strong relationships with local organizations
  • Execute a strategic performance management program to create and maintain a high performing workforce
  • Evaluate structure, job design and manpower forecasting throughout the property
  • Plan, communicate and administer compensation plan aligned with the SLS brand
  • Ensure that compensation and benefits are fair and equitable throughout company
  • Manage compensation issues by serving as daily contact for team members and HR department
  • Direct day to day activities of HRIS system; planning, budgeting and forecasting
  • Oversee implementation and operation of human resources administration functions
  • Ensure seamless flow of information between human resources management teams
  • Stay current on human resource industry trends
  • Perform other duties as assigned
