The All Bahamas Merit Scholarship is the most prestigious scholarship awarded to a single Bahamian candidate. In order to be considered for this award, applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 3.7 and above, a minimum of eight (8) BGCSEs with at least eight (8) “A” passes and a SAT score of 1220 or higher or an ACT score of 25 or higher (please submit SAT/ACT scores with application by March 31st).
The applicant must also be exceptionally well rounded and have applied to or been accepted to an academically prestigious international college or university. The scholarship has a maximum value of $35,000.00 per year, for up to five years, and is tenable at accredited international colleges and universities.
Please note, Bahamian high school graduates may still be eligible for this scholarship if they continue in any high school extension programme (approved by the committee) for a maximum of two years.
These students must apply for consideration at the end of their second year.

The Ministry of Education Scholarship & Educational Loan Division was established in its current form in 2003 to encourage and support Bahamian students in their pursuit of college, university, vocational and graduate school education through financial aid advising and the granting of scholarships.
