Line Cook Needed

with extensive experience working the hot line in busy environment

Duties include:

  • Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.)
  • Cook food in various utensils or grillers
  • Follow the directions of the Executive and Sous Chef and be open to constructive criticism
  • Give attention productivity of the kitchen such as speed and food quality
  • Check for plating accuracy (garnish, portion size, correct serving dish, etc.)
  • Anticipate and communicate shortages to the Executive and Sous chef

 Qualifications:

  • Valid food handlers’ certificate
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in a professional and fast paced kitchen (preferable in the hospitality environment)
  • Friendly with great communication skills
