Reports to: EMT Health Manager

Baha Mar's Emergency Medical Technician will work with the EMT Health Manager to provide safety and protection of guests, team members, and company property. This role involves anticipating potential problems and seeking ways to prevent disruption, injuries and prohibited conduct from occurring on the Baha Mar premises.

What you will also have already accomplished:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Must have a Medical Technician certificate or National Emergency Medical Technician certificate
  • Must possess a CPR card for the Professional Rescuer
Description of Responsibilities
Baha Mar's Emergency Medical Technician will be responsible for providing safety and protection of guests, team members, and company property. This role involves anticipating potential problems and seeking ways to prevent disruption, injuries and prohibited conduct from occurring on the Baha Mar premises. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Execute emergency response and evacuation procedures as directed by the EMT Health Manager
  • Monitor and assist in the enforcement of hotel policies and procedures
  • Provide fire protection in all areas and inspect fire suppression and life safety equipment on a regular basis to ensure it is operational
  • Patrol and/or periodically inspect assigned areas constantly on the lookout for undesirable persons whose presence on the property is not considered to be in the best interest of the hotel/casino management or its guests
  • Investigate all incidents, accidents, and/or events to include: taking initial reports and conducting interviews with appropriate follow-up
  • Maintain a visible and accessible profile among guests and team members to create a sense of security to deter potential problems and to answer questions
  • Monitor suspicious persons in the hotel/casino, particularly those attempting to enter an unauthorized area
  • Serve as a public relations officer and display such by the service rendered to guests and fellow team members
  • Maintain and care for medical supplies and equipment
  • Maintain his/her Medical Technician certificate in a current status
  • Respond to all medical calls on the premises
  • Understand and assist team members with the filling out of injury reports and work with the Human Resources department
