Coordinates and oversees beverage service activities in designated areas to meet division standards. Manages the business finances to meet budget guidelines while maintaining high quality standards for internal and external customers. Manages the conceptual aspects of the business with style of service, ambiance, menu offerings and other unique conceptual aspects pertaining to the concept vision. Manages Health & Safety requirements of the business according to Division standards.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Displays the highest standards of customer service at all times, welcoming customers in a polite, gracious and enthusiastic manner; paying attention at all times; anticipating and meeting their needs.
Responds quickly and positively to guests’ questions, requests, problems, and complaints and resolves them effectively and consistently.
Maintains overall knowledge of the resort and provide proactive assistance to customers when appropriate using clear and concise conversation.
Demonstrates departmental knowledge and efficiency at all times.
Assist in managing all daily operational beverage functions consistent with the strategic plan and vision for the department, and resort.
Assist in managing the Banqueting Beverage team to include efficient staffing, team member development and training, performance management, hiring/termination decisions and policy enforcement.
Conduct department orientation, line-ups and training to meet departmental requirements. Ensure staff has full understanding of food and beverage menus and wine list.
Ensures good safety practices of employees and guests, assisting in the maintenance of proper emergency and security procedures.
Assists in overseeing of ordering and maintaining of par levels for each beverage outlet.
Maintains standards in quality of drinks and service.
Check daily condition of facility and equipment, ensuring all malfunctions are reported immediately to the Engineering department.
Generates maximum performance of the Beverage Department and updates financial tracking spreadsheet daily in preparation for month-end reports.
Reduces waste and breakage of all products.
Manages staff to ensure they are following proper policies and procedures.
Represent needs of department to the Beverage Director.
Assists in maintaining Company and Departmental health and safety standards.
Other job related duties as requested
Minimum of 2-year college education or equivalent vocational training
Minimum of 3 years beverage experience in a high volume environment
Demonstrated knowledge of food and beverage operations
Proven knowledge of cost control
Strong communication skills
Food Handler’s Certificate, First Aid and CPR
