Reports to:       Food & Beverage Manager

 

Grand Hyatt Baha Mar’s Assistant Food & Beverage Manager will work together with the Food & Beverage Manager to organize and supervise the restaurant operation. This individual will be actively involved in promoting good relations with guests and staff members.

What you will also have already accomplished:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Minimum 3 year’s experience as a Supervisor/Captain in a restaurant, bar or related field, preferably in a luxury or ultra-luxury environment
  • Hospitality/Tourism experience preferred

 

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to exert physical effort in transporting 30 lbs, endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, reach up and down and remain stationary at times throughout work periods.

 

Description of Responsibilities

Grand Hyatt Baha Mar’s Assistant Food & Beverage Manager will work together with the Food & Beverage Manager to organize and supervise the restaurant operation. This individual will be actively involved in promoting good relations with guests and staff members. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide dynamic services to ensure guests are “wowed” by Grand Hyatt Baha Mar’s hospitality
  • Direct smooth, efficient, cost effective operation, including labor management, supervision of all aspects of services, scheduling and inventory control
  • Monitor all daily sales, ordering, par levels and costs for outlet
  • Direct and organize the activities of the restaurant outlet
  • Maintain the highest standards of food and beverage quality, service and marketing to maximize profits through "outstanding" customer service 
  • Conduct regular meetings and ensure employees adhere to established policies and procedures
  • Monitor and follow-up on employee training to ensure Grand Hyatt Baha Mar’s standards of service are understood
  • Proactively support all service tactics always adhering to company policies
  • Build positive working relationships through teamwork and clear communication
  • Strive for continuous improvement while delivering high levels of professionalism
  • Ensure that all safety, sanitation, energy management, preventative maintenance and other standards are consistently met
  • Immediately report any security, maintenance, housekeeping issues to management
  • Greet guests and oversee actual service on a regular basis to ensure consistency of excellent service standards
  • Suggest new techniques of service for maximum guest satisfaction at minimum operating costs
  • Total compliance with Grand Hyatt Baha Mar’s standards of operation
  • Stay current on hospitality best practices and industry trends
  • Perform other duties as assigned
