Reports to:      Restaurant Manager

 

Grand Hyatt’s Bartender will work together with the Restaurant Manager to prepare the highest quality beverages while providing timely, accurate and friendly service to exceed guests’ expectations for their hotel beverage experiences.

What you will also have already accomplished:

 

  • High School Diploma
  • 1+ year of bartending experience in a restaurant, night club or related field
  • Hospitality/Tourism Bartender experience preferred

 

Description of Responsibilities

Grand Hyatt’s Bartender will be responsible for preparing the highest quality beverages while providing timely, accurate and friendly service to exceed guests’ expectations for their hotel beverage experiences. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Provide dynamic services to ensure guests are “wowed” by Baha Mar’s hospitality
  • Pour drinks, using standard pour according to specifications
  • Serve high quality beverages to guests while exhibiting friendly and personalized service
  • Mix and garnish beverages according to recipe and portion control standards
  • Clean shelving, stainless steel, mixers, cups, blenders and soda guns
  • Ring guest checks, collect cash and process credits and room charges in the exact manner outlined by company policies and procedures
  • Answer all questions and resolve any guest complaints in a timely, friendly and professional manner
  • Respond professionally to inebriated guests, as needed
  • Notify a manager if a guest is becoming intoxicated or rude to other guests
  • Uphold the highest standards of courtesy and conduct exceeding expectations
  • Total compliance with Baha Mar’s standards of operation
  • Stay current on hospitality best practices and industry trends
  • Perform other duties as assigned
