Reports to:       Restaurant Manager

 

Grand Hyatt’s Busser will work together with the Restaurant Manager to provide prompt, courteous service to restaurant patrons and ensure guests’ expectations for their hotel dining experiences are exceeded.

What you will also have already accomplished:

  • High School Diploma
  • 1+ years of experience in a restaurant, night club or related field
  • Hospitality/Tourism or Busser experience preferred

 

Description of Responsibilities:

Grand Hyatt’s Busser will be responsible for providing prompt, courteous service to restaurant patrons and ensure guests’ expectations for their hotel dining experiences are exceeded. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide dynamic services to ensure guests are “wowed” by Baha Mar’s hospitality
  • Ensure proper set-up, stocking and delivery of supplies, glassware and ice
  • Set all tables to Baha Mar standards of excellence
  • Maintain tables throughout service, clearing dishes and glassware between courses
  • Ensure all areas are clean and tidy; scraping dishes, polishing glasses and silverware, sweeping, stocking and more
  • Answer all questions and resolve any guest complaints in a timely, friendly and professional manner
  • Uphold the highest standards of courtesy and conduct exceeding expectations
  • Proactively support all hotel restaurant tactics always adhering to company policies
  • Immediately report any security, maintenance, housekeeping issues to management
  • Total compliance with Baha Mar’s standards of operation
  • Stay current on hospitality best practices and industry trends
  • Perform other duties as assigned
