Job Title:          Food & Beverage - Supervisor

Reports to:       Assistant Food & Beverage Manager

 

Grand Hyatt’s  Food & Beverage - Supervisor will work together with the Assistant F& B  Manager to supervise the staff and assist with the operational management of the assigned outlet; including labor and cost control, staff training, scheduling, and revenue enhancement, always employing an efficient and professional manner to exceed guests’ expectations for their poolside dining experiences.

What you will also have already accomplished:

 

  • College Degree preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in a restaurant, bar or related field in a supervisory position preferred
  • Hospitality/Tourism experience preferred

 

Description of Responsibilities

 

Grand Hyatt’s Food & Beverage - Supervisor will be responsible for supervising the staff of the and assist with the operational management of the assigned outlet; including labor and cost control, staff training, scheduling, and revenue enhancement, always employing an efficient and professional manner to exceed guests’ expectations for their poolside dining experiences. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Provide dynamic services to ensure fellow team members are “wowed” by Baha Mar’s in-house hospitality
  • Supervise staff to ensure smooth, efficient, cost effective operation, including labor management, supervision of all aspects of services, scheduling and inventory control
  • Monitor all daily sales, ordering, par levels and costs for outlet
  • Supervise and organize activities of the Food & Beverage Department
  • Assist management in scheduling of all restaurant employees
  • Maintain the highest standards of food and beverage quality, service and marketing to maximize profits through "outstanding" customer service 
  • Conduct regular meetings and ensure employees adhere to established policies and procedures
  • Monitor and follow-up on employee training to ensure Baha Mar standards of service are followed and understood
  • Proactively support all service tactics always adhering to company policies
  • Investigate and resolve any guest complaints
  • Immediately report any security, maintenance, housekeeping issues to management
  • Suggest new techniques of service for maximum guest satisfaction at minimum operating costs
  • Ensure seamless flow of information between  F&B teams
  • Uphold company’s key values and brand standards to encourage team to maintain culture of excellence and achieve top results

  • Total compliance with Baha Mar’s standards of operation
  • Stay current on hospitality best practices and industry trends
  • Perform other duties as assigned
