Reports to:       Food and Beverage Supervisor

Grand Hyatt at Baha Mar’s Greeter, working together with the Food and Beverage Supervisor to ensure that guests are greeted cheerfully and courteously, seating guests in a timely manner, delivering outstanding service that exceeds guests’ expectations during their stay and leaving a lasting and positive impression.

What you will also have already accomplished:

  • High school diploma
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Previous hospitality experience a plus

Description of Responsibilities

Grand Hyatt at Baha Mar’s Greeter, working together with the Food and Beverage Supervisor to ensure that guests are greeted cheerfully and courteously, seating guests in a timely manner, delivering outstanding service that exceeds guests’ expectations during their stay and leaving a lasting and positive impression. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Verify reservations, make requested changes and liaise with restaurant management to determine wait times while maintaining reservation and waiting lists
  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Answer calls using proper phone etiquette following Grand Hyatt’s standards
  • Leave guests with a lasting impression by greeting promptly upon arrival and thanking them upon departure
  • Inquire about party sizes and determine if space is available for accommodation
  • Escort customers to tables and providing menus
  • Answer all questions/resolve any guest complaints in a timely, friendly and professional manner
  • Assist service staff when needed in clearing, cleaning and resetting tables
  • Ensure all areas are clean and tidy
  • Uphold the highest standards of courtesy and conduct exceeding expectations
  • Deliver efficient service following Grand Hyatt’s standards of excellence
  • Follow Grand Hyatt’s policies, procedures and service standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned
