Job Description

An Investment Advisory Services Company with international clients is seeking a suitable candidate for the temporary position of Assistant Corporate Accountant.

The Role involves:

  • Assisting in the monthly preparation of financial statements and management reports
  • Recording daily trade transactions
  • Recording receipt of incoming wire funds
  • Preparation of monthly bank reconciliations
  • Assisting with the processing and recording of client and vendor payments
  • Assisting with the compilation of documents for the annual external audit
  • Reconciliation of inter-company accounts between the parent and its subsidiaries
  • Assisting in the preparation of reports for The Securities Commission of The Bahamas and other regulatory organizations
  • Other administrative tasks for the efficient and effective functioning of the Company


Applicants should have the following minimum qualifications:

  • Certified Public Accountant or similar qualification
  • Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Corporate Accounting at a Bank or Fiduciary Services Company.
  • Well-developed writing and communication skills.
  • High level of proficiency in the use of computers and approved software applications including, Word, Excel, Outlook and NAV and Quick Books.
  • Knowledge of IFRS and legal, regulatory and industry requirements with respect to accounting for a securities company.
  • Knowledge of business processes, internal controls, standards, policies and procedures.
  • Ability to read and understand financial statements, valuations and related forms of financial reporting.
  • Ability to work well with others as a team.
