Job Description

Job Title:          Dock Clerk

Reports to:       Dock Master

Baha Mar’s Dock Clerk will work together with the Dock Master to perform a variety of clerical and technical duties such as receiving, storing, and issuing various supplies, materials, and equipment. This individual will maintain records of items received and issued.

What you will also have already accomplished:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 3 years in a Purchasing/Inventory department
  • Strong ability to multitask and work in a team-oriented environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office Software required

Description of Responsibilities

Baha Mar’s Dock Clerk will work together with the Dock Master to perform a variety of clerical and technical duties such as receiving, storing, and issuing various supplies, materials, and equipment.  This individual will maintain records of items received and issued. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Utilize an inventory system on a daily basis; fill supply orders of stocked items and maintain a variety of inventory and warehouse records
  • Receive and accept deliveries of supplies, tools, materials and equipment and inspect the items received for damages
  • Verify items received and their quantity between invoices and packing slips; maintain a record of all stock received
  • Ensure that items are placed in their proper storage areas in accordance with the established storage process
  • Monitor and audit inventory levels on a daily basis and notify the Dock Master when quantities are low
  • Operate standard office equipment including a computer, fax machine, copier and printer
  • Perform other duties as assigned
