Job Title:         Assistant Restaurant Manager- Katsuya

Reports to:       Restaurant Manager

Baha Mar’s Assistant Restaurant Manager- Katsuya will work together with the Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily restaurant operations while maintaining staffing and cost controls and ensuring guests’ expectations for their hotel dining experiences are exceeded.

What you will also have already accomplished:

  • High School Diploma
  • 3 years+ of management experience in a restaurant
  • Hospitality/Tourism Assistant Manager experience preferred

     Description of Responsibilities

    Baha Mar’s Assistant Restaurant Manager- Katsuya will be responsible for overseeing the daily restaurant operations while maintaining staffing and cost controls and ensuring guests’ expectations for their hotel dining experiences are exceeded. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide dynamic services to ensure guests are “wowed” by SLS at Baha Mar’s hospitality
  • Develop and implement business strategies aligned with the company’s overall mission, vision values and strategies
  • Excellent knowledge of food and beverage, including being able to service and sell the product
  • Monitor guests’ needs on a continual basis, ensuring all requests are promptly fulfilled
  • Answer all questions and resolve any guest complaints in a timely, friendly and professional manner
  • Coordinate the set-up of restaurant and lounge area following company standards
  • Manage staff and coach front line servers on effective service techniques
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve revenue and profit goal
  • Increase sales by coaching employees on effective sales techniques
  • Maximize productivity by using forecasting techniques to schedule staff
  • Liaise with chef to monitor inventory supply
  • Maintain accurate paperwork for comps, inventory levels, scheduling, payroll and employee records
  • Conduct regular meetings and ensure employees adhere to established policies and procedures
  • Monitor and follow-up on employee training to ensure SLS at Baha Mar standards of service are understood
  • Uphold the highest standards of courtesy and conduct exceeding expectations
  • Proactively support all hotel restaurant tactics always adhering to company policies
  • Suggest new techniques of service for maximum guest satisfaction at minimum operating costs
  • Total compliance with SLS at Baha Mar’s standards of operation
  • Stay current on hospitality best practices and industry trends
  • Perform other duties as assigned
