What you will also have already accomplished:

  • Has one (1) year of hospitality industry experience required, educational experience considered
  • The ability to maintain a "sense of urgency" attitude for the completion of responsibilities/tasks
  • Superior organizational and follow up skills with extreme attention to detail
  • Has an exceptional personality, attitude and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be polished, professional, friendly, and have the ability to multitask and take initiative in a fast-paced, high pressure, deadline driven environment

    Description of Responsibilities

    SLS at Baha Mar’s In Room Dining and Mini Bar Assistant Manager will work together with the Director of Food and Beverage and is responsible for cultivating and mentoring leadership, while promoting a positive culture. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Optimum delivery of all mini bar services, balancing a pragmatic approach with the need to consistently perform to a standard of excellence

  • Monitor daily sales, ordering, par levels and costs for mini bar

  • Assist to manage and organize the activities of the mini bar outlet including the selection, purchasing, storage, inventory, maintenance and usage

  • Assist in maintaing the highest standards of mini bar quality, service and marketing to maximize profits through "outstanding" customer service 

  • Assists with training, scheduling and retention

  • Evaluate and develop processes to maintain and improve performance and productivity

  • Assists in maintaining standards of health, safety and sanitation

  • Responsible for the coaching and development of venue staff

  • Administers progressive discipline and attendance points according to company policy

  • Ensures compliance of Employee Standards of Conduct

  • Follow all food health and safety practices, procedures and regulations

  • Manages day-to-day operations, including floor management, staff management and the guest experience

  • Understands P&L analysis and executes processes to maintain and improve performance

  • Assists with creation and maintenance of procedural protocol for venue operations

  • Promotes SLS at Baha Mar’s positive culture
