Job Title: Assistant General Manager –SLS- Cleo and Monkey Bar

Reports to: General Manager

SLS at Baha Mar’s Assistant General Manager – Cleo and Monkey Bar will work together with the General Manager, and is responsible for developing and providing exemplary guest service, product quality and managing all aspects of SLS’s Lobby Bar team and operation.

What you will also have already accomplished:

  • 2-4 years previous experience in Food & Beverage/Nightlife management is required 
  • Solid financial skills and the ability to analyze financial statements and modify operations to meet financial goals
  • The ability to maintain a "sense of urgency" attitude for the completion of responsibilities/tasks
  • Superior organizational skills with exacting attention to detail
  • Dedication and willingness to go above and beyond  

Description of Responsibilities

SLS at Baha Mar’s Assistant General Manager – Cleo and Monkey Bar will work together with the General Manager, and is responsible for developing and providing exemplary guest service, product quality and managing all aspects of SLS’s Lobby Bar team and operation. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and recognition procedures in accordance with restaurant/nightclub policies and procedures
  • Prepare all required paperwork, including forms, reports and schedules, in an organized and timely manner
  • Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and kept in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the restaurants/nightclubs preventative maintenance programs.
  • Ensure that all products are received in correct unit count and condition, and deliveries are performed in accordance with the restaurants/nightclubs receiving policies and procedures.
  • Assists and conducts conflict resolution, corrective actions and/or terminations
  • Oversee and ensure that employee performance appraisals are completed in a timely manner
  • Fully understand and comply with all governing regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the restaurant/nightclub, employees and guests.
  • Schedule labor as required by anticipated business activity while ensuring all positions are staffed when and as needed, and labor cost objectives are met; forecast business and staffing needs
  • Ensures nightly and/or weekly, opening and closing side duties are followed
  •  Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations, including opening and closing duties
  • Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, appearance of facility and sanitation and cleanliness through training of employees and creating a positive, productive working environment
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
