Job Title: Rooms Control Clerk

Reports to:  Front Office Manager

Grand Hyatt at Baha Mar’s Rooms Control Clerk is a cerebral individual who is able to use their reasoning skills and will work together with the Front Office Manager in ensuring positive guest relations by providing prompt, efficient and exceptional guest service while maximizing room revenue and productivity.

What you will also have already accomplished:

  • High School Diploma
  • 1 year + of experience in a hotel front desk position or related field

Description of Responsibilities

Grand Hyatt at Baha Mar’s Rooms Control Clerk will be responsible for ensuring positive guest relations by providing prompt, efficient and exceptional guest service while maximizing room revenue and productivity. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure optimum delivery of front desk strategies, balancing a pragmatic approach with need to consistently perform to a standard of excellence
  • Provide dynamic services to ensure guests are “wowed” by Grand Hyatt at Baha Mar’s hospitality
  • Leave guests with a lasting impression by greeting promptly upon arrival and thanking them upon departure
  • Register guests into hotel following establish processes and procedures and courteously attend to guests as quickly as possible
  • Maximize selling opportunities for assigned room inventories
  • Ensure confidentiality of guest information and hotel data
  • Answer calls using proper phone etiquette following Grand Hyatt at Baha Mar standards
  • Manage  assigned room inventories
  • Analyze room and inventory reports
  • Resolve any guest complaints in a timely, friendly and professional manner
  • Communicate to appropriate departments all pertinent information related to VIPs and other key guests
  • Recommend new techniques of front desk service for maximum guest satisfaction at minimum operating costs
  • Maintain cleanliness of the Front Desk and check in area
  • Total compliance with Grand Hyatt at Baha Mar’s standards of operation
  • Ensure seamless flow of information between front desk and management teams
  • Stay current on front desk trends
  • Perform other duties as assigned
