Job Title: Reservations Manager

Reports to:  Revenue Director

SLS at Baha Mar’s Reservations Manager is responsible for implementing revenue management systems, standards and practices to control rooms inventories and rates. This person participates in strategic hotel marketing plans by monitoring future rooms occupancy and revenues.

What you will also have already accomplished:

  • College Degree in Business, Hospitality or related field preferred
  • 3 years+ of experience in a hotel front desk position or related field
  • Must have hospitality related Reservations experience

 

 Description of Responsibilities

SLS at Baha Mar’s Reservations Manager will be responsible for implementing revenue management systems, standards and practices to control rooms inventories and rates. This person participates in strategic hotel marketing plans by monitoring future rooms occupancy and revenues. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee the hotel reservations department to maintain optimum levels of production resulting in optimum occupancy.
  • Monitor and assess all lost business reports
  • Keep current and aware of all room rates, packages, specials and other hotel information; communicate this information to all employees in the call center
  • Ensure accurate and updated database records
  • Monitor and implement strategies for Internet distribution channels
  • Oversee the group sales and reservations process
  • Uphold the highest standards of courtesy and conduct exceeding expectations
  • Work closely with Front Desk team
  • Train and develop all Reservations personnel
  • Total compliance with SLS at Baha Mar’s standards of operation
  • Implement tactics to consolidate and streamline Reservations operations
  • Stay current on Reservations best practices hotel industry trends
  • Perform other duties as assigned
