Job Description

Job Summary:

  • The Employee Experience & Communications Manager is responsible for enhancing and improving the employee experience and engagement throughout CBL; also responsible for creating, planning and disseminating communications that supports and advances CBL's corporate narrative, culture and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manages efforts related to the employee experience including but not limited to onboarding, engagement surveys, diversity & inclusion and other employee engagement initiatives;
  • Assists in the development of a strategic internal communications plan to support CBLs ambition of being Employer of choice;
  • Develops, Executes & Manages all Corporate events and activities in consultation with relevant leaders, committees, Departments etc. as necessary (e.g. Reward & Recognition programs, Family Day, Christmas party, sporting events and tournaments and any other Corporate sponsored events);
  • Prepares and disseminates an annual schedule of Corporate events and activities;
  • Prepares and ensures timely distribution of CBL's Annual Report;
  • Assists with maintaining budgets for all events and activities within specified amounts;
  • Assists with General Staff Meetings, Executive round tables, Lunch and Learn Sessions and any other staff meetings;
  • Ensures that all departments including the Family Islands are kept abreast of all activities as necessary;
  • Facilitates the Climate survey process, communication of results and action plans;
  • Maintains a pulse on employee morale and engagement continuously identifying opportunities to create an engaged workforce;
  • Partners with the HR team and other key stakeholders to develop and deliver the Employee Engagement & Branding strategy;
  • Manages sponsorship requests and ensures CBL visibility in Community Service Initiatives;
  • Provides assistance to Management Team in writing speeches, Interview preparation and mass communications;
  • Is proactive in identifying and developing content that champions the employee and company experiences to improve the image of CBL to its employees and the community;
  • Identifies and liaises with service providers to secure speakers, presenters and entertainment for Corporate events;
  • Liaises with vendors on the selection, purchase, delivery of materials i.e. awards, invitations, prizes, letters, paraphernalia, etc. for all events, as necessary and maintains an inventory of the same;
  • Prepares and distributes all documentations (e.g. staff notices) relative to Corporate activities, as necessary;
  • Creates and updates all Standard Operations Procedures for all activities, as necessary;
  • Ensures timely preparation of purchase requisitions and prompt receipt of bills for all events and activities as necessary;
  • Assists with and ensure that bills for payments to vendors are prepared and sent to the Finance Department for timely payment of work rendered and distributed to the vendors in a timely manner;
  • Manages all internal communication channels; email, intranet and TV channels;
  • Performs all other reasonable duties from time to time as requested.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Marketing, communications, or Journalism;
  • Minimum of seven (7) years experience in corporate communications, marketing and or employee engagement; including experience in branding and or communications, creating content, presentations and other written video or graphic materials targeted at employee engagement and employer branding.

  • Computer proficiency in Windows environment and Microsoft applications.
  • Good analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Sound knowledge of Corporation's policies and procedures.
