Reports to:  Director of Cage & Count and  Assistant Director of Cage & Count 

Baha Mar Casino’s Count Manager will work together with the Director of Cage & Count and Assistant Director of Cage & Count to manage all count room operations and ensure compliance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations, as well as all Federal laws governing monetary transactions and company policies and procedures, as well as internal controls.

What you will also have already accomplished:

  • College Degree Preferred
  • 3 years+ of casino counting management experience

Description of Responsibilities

Baha Mar Casino’s Count Manager will be responsible for managing all count room operations and ensure compliance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations, as well as all Federal laws governing monetary transactions and company policies and procedures, as well as internal controls. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Maximize revenue and operational excellence through proper execution of cash handling practices and procedures
  • Verify calculations and transfer cash to the Main Bank and maintain count room equipment
  • Direct the collection, sorting, counting and recording of gaming results, the transfer of funds to the Main Bank, and the overall operation and maintenance of the count room and currency counting equipment
  • Maintain protection of extremely large amounts of currency, ensuring prevention loss by providing extreme care and attention to detail
  • Ensure that procedures and proper controls are in place to protect counted receipts
  • Maintain visual and electronic surveillance of personnel, preventing monetary loss
  • Observe count, review count slips, and reconcile total funds to ensure the integrity of the count
  • Transfer receipts to the Cashier's Cage and the corresponding documentation to the Accounting department on a daily basis
  • Oversee the count and packaging of currency delivered to the Count Room from the Cashier’s Cage
  • Compile and review daily reports/logs/contingency lists and complete closing reports
  • Provide leadership and direction to count room staff
  • Stay current on new legislation and requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned
