Senior Manager, Business Operations
Location: Bahamas

Job purpose:

Work with local Country Manager as part of the Business Operations function to provide insight and support with organizational, commercial, reporting, communication and leadership priorities and initiatives. Serve as trusted advisor to the Country Manager and assist with supporting overall operations, as well as supporting the strategic vision, agenda and roadmap for Cable & Wireless.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Generate a robust understanding of C&W businesses across the region, both in the business-to-consumer (B2C), with a particular focus on the Mobile business line, but also the business-to-business (B2B) side.  This will require a motivated, curious and analytical business leader to:  Understand the current state business, challenges and opportunities.  Work closely with key stakeholders across the organization to collect and synthesize data as required, including working with central Business Operations team to facilitate the required reporting for key meetings.
  • Identify synergies across each group, and focus on developing activities to drive goals.
  • Help develop and define the strategic vision and narrative for use in stakeholder communications.
  • Support the collection, consolidation and analysis of key information across CWC to improve the reporting insights and decision-making.
  • Help define specific management reporting requirements and metrics.
  • Support and help facilitate company culture change through team building initiatives and programs to drive the change
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders within CWC and leverage those relationships to support the success of the local business
  • Generate robust understanding of the strategic direction of CWC and leverage that understanding to enable the development of the local business
  • Help redefine and roll-out new marketing and brand platform, enabling the company to go-to-market in a more customer centric approach.
  • Support with leadership presentations, meetings, and team development initiatives (i.e. SLT, Offsite, etc.)
  • Serve as a ‘sounding board’ to the cluster leader / country manager for new ideas and initiatives.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

Preferred education/ qualifications:

Degree preferred in Business Management or related field.

 

Knowledge:

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong business acumen with proven experience
  • Strong analytical capabilities assessing data and generating insights to provoke the senior leaders. Strong excel skills is recommended.
  • Very comfortable building executive level presentations, storyboarding, visualization. PowerPoint skills is critical.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to adapt in a dynamic and changing work environment
