The Project Lead is responsible for scoping, planning and executing projects at the Equinor South Riding Point Terminal.  

The role is accountable for project performance including budget, schedule and safety as well as adherence to the project process.  Potential project work includes maintenance of existing equipment (tanks, pumps, generators, valves, power systems, instrumentation and marine components) and facilities (piping, fencing, roads, buildings, etc.) as well as new installations.  

The role is within the Modification department and reports to the Modification Department Lead.  

Responsibilities include:

Familiarity with project management principals and fundamentals including typical project phases, estimating costs, scheduling, deliverables and templates 

Define the scope of the project in collaboration with relevant cross disciplinary team.  Document assumptions and plan according to project process expectations.

Create effective project schedules and AFE budgets

Collaborate with Procurement to identify bid strategies for contract type, compensation and other terms and conditions to minimize risk to Equinor

Perform technical evaluation of bids 

Manage project and contractor performance throughout execution including change proposals, scope, cost and schedule impacts

Act as primary contact for all communications related to the project including both internal and external (Partners and Sub-Contractors) stakeholders

Ensure that technical and functional requirements are fully understood and followed by all members of the project team

Accountable for ensuring drawing reviews are performed by the project team

Lead project kick off meeting, periodic project meetings and stakeholder engagement meetings.  

Occasionally lead or participate in safety stand downs or safety meeting with contractors and the terminal

Report progress to department manager and to the management committee as required.  May involve written reports and/or PowerPoint presentations

Ensure the project close out is completed according to project process to include receipt of all relevant documents, spare parts, materials and adequate training for maintenance personnel

To act as an HSE agent to improve the operational and functional integrity of the terminal at Equinor South Riding Point

To carry out any other duties that are assigned to achieve the company's goals and objectives


  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or equivalent field of study
  • Five (5) years of Project Management field experience or equivalent
  • Five (5) years of commercial or industrial experience
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Relevant experience may compensate for formal qualifications.
