Job Title: Logo Shop Assistant Job Summary Assists with the sale of merchandise in the company’s Retail Stores. Provides warm and engaging customer service. Main Duties & Responsibilities Establishes customer needs and presents merchandise to fulfill those needs. Closes sales professionally. Handles customer inquiries or complaints in a timely and professional manner. Maintains floors, shelves, mirrors, racks, windows, countertops and displays of store including till point area, storage areas and store exterior. Removes litter/waste from previous day and throughout the day as necessary. Assists in displaying merchandise on floor ensuring that cleanliness and presentation of merchandise is always up to company standards. Unpacks, prices and puts stock out on floor. Report to the assistant shop manager any damaged or soiled goods according to company procedure. Undertakes inventory counts as required. Responsible for ensuring that floor, shelves, mirrors, racks, windows, countertops and displays of store are always in a spotless condition, including till point area, storage areas and store exterior. Responsible for 100% accuracy in all sales transactions, daily deposits and floats. Performs all procedures such as returns, room charges, discounts etc. accurately and in line with company procedures. Assists with other administrative duties as required. Open and close store in the absence of assistant manager following all company policies. Follows correct procedure in the event of shoplifting, fire, bomb scare, armed robbery, etc. Aware of position of staff and customers in shop at all times. Reports all incidents of suspected theft to Store Manager or General Manager. Recognizes and takes steps to eliminate potential safety hazards e.g. broken glass, wet spots, etc. Perform other reasonable duties that may be requested from time to time.
